With just one week left to go in the legislature, nerves are starting to get a little frayed at the Capitol Building. Everybody–both legislators and lobbyists alike–are feeling tired and overloaded as the session comes to a close.
An Alabama senator has filed a ‘Tim Tebow Act’ very similar to the one Sen. Baker (R-Conway) is sponsoring here in Arkansas. As we’ve been reporting, the bills are designed to do one thing: Allow home school students to try out for extracurricular activities at their local public school.
Today, Rep. David Cook asked that his bill, HB 2144, be referred to an interim study. This means that the bill is not going to be passed this session, and is no longer a threat.
