It is free to download. It is perfect for doing lessons via your own  home computer. Art lessons are available for all ages. Each lesson is two hours  long. We also have a creative writing and art class that lasts for 16  weeks.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nSharon Jeffus is teaching two 16 week art classes via the internet  starting in January.<\/p>\n<p>The first class covers not only how to do a variety  of techniques, (painting, drawing, sculpting, etc.) but also teaches art history  along with each lesson. Students turn in work, get it evaluated and then it is  returned. The class includes ancient, Renaissance, Baroque, Impressionism,  Expressionism, computer graphic art, etc. This covers all the important master  artists in art history. Architecture and sculpting are also included.<\/p>\n<p>As  students see the master art, they learn techniques to make them a better artist.  Cost of the 16 weeks is $300. More than one student can take the class at a  location so you can split the cost with other families. Book on CD and software  CD are included in this price. Students need to have a skype connection to do  this class. Cost is  $350. Books are included on CD. Students learn master portrait artists, how to  draw and paint a portrait and how to write a character sketch in just one  lesson. How to write a setting for a story is combined with famous landscape art  and how to do a landscape. Famous architectural wonders are shown with a lesson  on perspective. We learn how to write an expository paragraph after doing the  art. Students will have not only an art portfolio, but a creative writing  portfolio as well. They will also have a short story they have written. For more  information on this course visit the Visual Manna website and click on  workshops.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Jeffus has a B.S.S.E. in Art Education from John Brown  University and continued on in her studies to be certified to teach English from  the University of Arkansas. She studied painting at Metropolitan in Denver and  sculpting at Southern Illinois University.<\/p>\n<p>She has written over twenty  books and has the internationally known company, Visual Manna. Sharon wrote her  first book in 1992 and developed the Visual Manna teaching method where art is  integrated with art appreciation, techniques, vocabulary and core subjects.  Sharon is a regular writer for The Old Schoolhouse magazine and has written for  a number of other educational resources.
