{"id":518,"date":"2011-10-10T08:30:42","date_gmt":"2011-10-10T15:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/arkansashomeschool.org\/?page_id=518"},"modified":"2020-02-07T10:54:43","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T17:54:43","slug":"accomplishments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/arkansashomeschool.org\/index.php\/about-ea\/accomplishments\/","title":{"rendered":"Accomplishments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since its organization under Family Council, The Education Alliance has increased the size of its state-wide network of home school families from 500 to over 4,000.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Alliance holds Arkansas&#8217; two home school graduations across the state &#8211; one in Searcy with over 100 graduates and one in Bentonville with about 20 graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Alliance has lobbied the Arkansas Legislature since 1999, providing expert testimony and other information to defeat bad home school legislation.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Alliance has also had the opportunity to work with the Arkansas Department of Education and other state agencies in efforts to improve education conditions around the state.<\/p>\n<p>It has conducted media interviews on home schooling.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Alliance also provides free home school packets to parents who are considering the option of home schooling.<\/p>\n<p>The E.A. staff works to provide free consulting and advice regarding anything related to home schooling.<\/p>\n<p>High school transcripts are also available upon request for a donation of any amount.<\/p>\n<p>Monthly update letters are also sent to everyone on the mailing list, keeping people informed on current education issues.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Alliance also provides free e-mail alerts to everyone on its e-mail list.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last few years The Education Alliance staff has conducted numerous speaking engagements all over Arkansas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since its organization under Family Council, The Education Alliance has increased the size of its state-wide network of home school families from 500 to over 4,000.
