Do you have skype on your computer? It is free to download. It is perfect for doing lessons via your own home computer. Art lessons are available for all ages. Each lesson is two hours long. We also have a creative writing and art class that lasts for 16 weeks.
Sharon Jeffus is teaching two 16 week art classes via the internet starting in January.
The first class covers not only how to do a variety of techniques, (painting, drawing, sculpting, etc.) but also teaches art history along with each lesson. Students turn in work, get it evaluated and then it is returned. The class includes ancient, Renaissance, Baroque, Impressionism, Expressionism, computer graphic art, etc. This covers all the important master artists in art history. Architecture and sculpting are also included.
As students see the master art, they learn techniques to make them a better artist. Cost of the 16 weeks is $300. More than one student can take the class at a location so you can split the cost with other families. Book on CD and software CD are included in this price. Students need to have a skype connection to do this class. Visit the Visual Manna website and click on workshops to view a complete outline of each week of study.
Sharon Jeffus will also be teaching art techniques combined with creative writing for 16 weeks. Cost is $350. Books are included on CD. Students learn master portrait artists, how to draw and paint a portrait and how to write a character sketch in just one lesson. How to write a setting for a story is combined with famous landscape art and how to do a landscape. Famous architectural wonders are shown with a lesson on perspective. We learn how to write an expository paragraph after doing the art. Students will have not only an art portfolio, but a creative writing portfolio as well. They will also have a short story they have written. For more information on this course visit the Visual Manna website and click on workshops.
