Jerry is the founder and president of Family Council. He began Family Council in 1989, and has worked on home school issues for over 20 years. Family Council started the work of The Education Alliance in 1998. Between fundraising, public speaking, leading the staff, lobbying, and writing, Jerry maintains an active role in ensuring that The Education Alliance continues to serve the people of Arkansas. He and his wife reside in Little Rock. They have four sons.
Melissa has worked for The Education Alliance since February of 2001. Every day, she serves Arkansas’ growing home school community by providing transcripts for graduating home schooled students or for home schooled students entering public or private education, providing free information for new and potential home school families, providing home educator cards, providing student ID cards and speaking at local support group meetings across the state. She has three children and 1 grandchild.
If you call our office, chances are Karen is the one you’ll talk to first. Karen began working for the Arkansas Education Alliance in December of 2012. She helps Melissa communicate with Arkansas’ home school community, organize our volunteers and oversees the day to day operations of The Education Alliance office.
