In response to the phone calls we’ve received (and likely will continue to receive) at our office: Rumors are circulating that Tim Tebow plans to visit Arkansas in support of SB 842. We are trying to find out if the rumors are true, but as of right now, we do not know.
As we reported last week, Sen. Baker (R-Conway) filed SB 842, the Tim Tebow home school bill, that would give home school students the opportunity to try out for extracurricular activities in their local school districts. These activities would include athletics, fine arts, band, and others.
Senator Gilbert Baker from Conway has filed a bill, unofficially referred to as the “Tim Tebow Home School Bill,” to allow home school students to participate in public school extracurricular activities, including athletics.
If passed, this law would allow home schoolers to try out for sports and other school programs, including fine arts activities and special interest clubs.
