The Education Alliance Blog

About Us

Who is the Education Alliance? That’s a question many people ask us.  Who are we?

We’re the largest home school organization in the State of Arkansas.  Our goal is to promote, protect, and facilitate home schooling as an option parents can pursue in educating their children.  Whether your child is 6 or 16, we’re here to help you give them the best future possible.

Consulting Services. One of the primary functions of the Education Alliance is to provide free consultation to parents who are or are considering home schooling their children.  Whether it’s by offering the latest Notice of Intent forms, extending advice based on our extensive history with home schooling, or standing up for your rights at the State Capitol, we are here to serve you.

Lobbying. Every time the Arkansas Legislature convenes, it seems some lawmaker is bent on restricting or micromanaging home schooling.  Our goal, when that happens, is to provide accurate, educated opinion regarding the importance of home schooling in the lives of so many Arkansans.  We also provide ways for you and other home schoolers to communicate with your lawmakers.  Whether it’s by hosting Home School Day at the Capitol or sending out email updates about the latest home school legislation, we want to keep you informed on all the latest opportunities and threats for home schoolers in Arkansas.

What’s the purpose of this blog? At any given moment throughout the day, there could be as many as 30-50 or more viewers on our Education Alliance website.  With all the advances in technology, the need to communicate quickly, and the desire so many home schoolers have to interact with one another, we decided adding a blog onto our website was the best way to meet the growing needs of Arkansas’ tech-savvy home schoolers.  This blog contains information ranging from recipes and daily shortcuts, to ideas about field trips and curricula, and even family activities and weekend projects home schoolers can enjoy.

Our goal with this blog is not simply to provide information; it is to facilitate open dialogue among home schoolers and home school-friendly individuals.  We hope you will find this site both useful and enjoyable.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
